HOW IT CARES FOR YOUR SKIN AND SHAVING TOOLS
Introducing our new pre-shave oil! This natural product makes shaving even smoother – whilst protecting your razor or straight razor. The best bit: we worked directly with our customers during development and incorporated their extensive feedback.
Since January, we’ve been using ‘Eric:Barbier Razor Burn Protection’ – as the pre-shave oil is officially called – in our three salons in Hamburg. And the name says it all: the built-in ‘razor burn protection’ is one of the major benefits of this new grooming product, though it can only work to its full potential if used correctly.
For a smooth shave
Combined with freshly lathered shaving soap, straight razors and cartridge razors glide effortlessly – but remember to stretch the skin with one hand to ensure all hairs are cut straight across, thus preventing damage to the epidermis. What’s more, our “Razor Burn Protection” nourishes the skin with natural ingredients thanks to argan oil. Finish with a high-quality aftershave to prevent irritation after this stylish routine. Your expensive razors or blades will thank you too: the smooth shave reduces the mechanical stress on the metal, which in turn extends their lifespan.
Driven by customer feedback
I’d wanted to launch my own pre-shave oil and use it in our salons for a long time. Just as with the beard oil and after-shave from Eric:Barbier, our customers provided fantastic support during the development process this time too. Time and again, I gave them samples and passed on their feedback to the family-run company Haircompany in Boden im Odenwald, with whom we developed the product range together.
One piece of feedback in particular springs to mind: a customer who, due to his sensitive skin, normally only shaved once a week and frequently suffered from rashes, can now maintain his look more regularly until his next visit to the barber thanks to the pre-shave oil.
