A men’s hairdresser in St. Pauli, on Davidstraße, a few steps from the Reeperbahn: hair has been cut here since 1906. We carry that on, with a hot towel, a straight razor and the unhurried pace the craft needs. As a barber in St. Pauli we picked a place where it may get loud outside and never does inside.
With us you sit for half an hour and have nothing to do but stay put. We listen, look at your hair and the way your beard grows, and tell you honestly what suits it. At the chair, for now, are Iman and Ilayda, who have worked in our HafenCity shop for a long time and advise you here just as they do their regulars there.
Getting here
Davidstraße 23, between the Reeperbahn and the harbour front. Three minutes on foot from Reeperbahn station (S1, S3), five from Spielbudenplatz. Parking is tight in the evening; the multi-storey car park on the Reeperbahn is the safe bet.
Davidstraße is one of those streets you know from the neighbourhood without ever making a special trip. Between music clubs, snack bars and pubs our shop sits on the calmer side of the Kiez. Afterwards a beer on Spielbudenplatz or a stroll down to the Landungsbrücken: both are practically on the doorstep.

History
Hair has been cut at Davidstraße 23 since 1906, for 120 years now. It is the oldest men’s hairdresser in Hamburg on this spot. Over the generations regulars, Hamburg characters and famous visitors took a seat here, and even the Beatles are part of the history of this salon.
For us the address also carries a deeply personal meaning. Eric Petersen, the founder and namesake of Eric:Barbier, came from North Frisia to Hamburg and worked in this very salon himself. With Davidstraße we are therefore returning to our roots. This is no arbitrary third branch but the place where our own story began.
We open here on 8 October 2026. Places like this cannot be planned, they grow over generations. We want to preserve their character: a proper men’s salon in St. Pauli, with a new name and our own signature.
