3 COOKING GADGETS FOR YOUR KITCHEN
Is cooking just for women? Not at all! We’re convinced that a true gentleman can also tie on an apron and let loose in the kitchen. Because let’s be honest: a delicious dinner shared with family and friends makes you incredibly happy. To ensure you’re perfectly prepared for your next cooking evening, we’re introducing three gadgets that are an absolute must-have in your kitchen!
Perfect for cooking: razor-sharp craftsmanship
Whether it’s hearty meat or crisp vegetables – both require precise tools. A sharp and useful knife is a key element in any kitchen. But there are so many different knives: bread knives, meat knives, fish knives and many more. How are you supposed to know which knives to buy? We believe that a knife should not only be practical but also make a visually appealing impression. An example of aesthetic knives are the Damascus knives by David Kaiser, available from Selection4. Every single one of these knives is handmade by him and is a unique piece. True works of art in their own right, which stand out in any kitchen!
Stylish preparation in the kitchen
Once the chopping is done and everything is prepared, it’s time to move on to the cooking. The saucepan is often a rather unassuming kitchen aid – yet it is essential for almost every dish. We have therefore been on the lookout for a beautiful design that not only does its job reliably but also becomes an aesthetic feature of the kitchen. We find a glass saucepan particularly appealing and unusual. As it is transparent, it not only looks good but also provides a lovely contrast to the often black elements of pans and ceramic hobs. Seeing the water really bubbling and watching the ingredients gives you a deep insight into the process whilst cooking. We’ve found a great example in the saucepan from KnIndustries.
Bringing SMEG Dolce & Gabbana into the kitchen
The second collaboration between kitchen specialists SMEG and the world-famous brand Dolce & Gabbana also offers a deep insight into true culinary art. With the “Frigorifero D’Arte” project, unique small appliances are making their way into the style-conscious kitchen – whilst simultaneously telling the story of Sicily, the spiritual home of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Inspired by the traditional painting of terracotta pots and the carts known as “Carretti Siciliani”, the collection – comprising a toaster, kettle, citrus juicer, food processor, juicer and espresso machine – exudes that holiday feeling straight from “Bella Italia”. There is also a SMEG store in Hamburg offering these unique kitchen gadgets.
